    Forward Deployed Automation Developer for a Fortune 50 social network client's Finance Innovation Hub. Sit at the intersection of AI engineering and Finance transformation — building automation and AI-driven workflows that handle real money, real controls, and real compliance obligations. 1-year contract, ~$60–$65.49/hr USD.

    Key responsibilities

    • Own end-to-end delivery: design, build, test, iterate, and deploy AI-enabled solutions from first conversation to production release.
    • Translate Finance requirements into technical solutions and architect implementations grounded in the client's technology stack.
    • Embed governance from day one: guardrails, fallback behaviors, human-in-the-loop logic, and audit-ready documentation.
    • Build stable data foundations and extensible pipelines that power reliable automation.
    • Partner with internal architects, debug directly with stakeholders, and bring field learnings back to improve platforms.
    • Participate in the oncall rotation for month-end and quarter-end close cycles (after-hours and weekend coverage per a pre-set plan).

    Ideal candidate

    • Strong software engineering skills in Python, SQL, and API development.
    • Hands-on experience with AI/ML models, LLMs, or intelligent automation frameworks.
    • Comfort with modern AI dev tools: agentic frameworks, AI workflow builders, and vibe-coding environments (Claude Code, Cursor, n8n, or similar).
    • Working knowledge of data pipelines and integration patterns.
    • Understanding of enterprise controls and audit requirements.
    • Ability to work directly with non-engineer Finance stakeholders and translate their pain into architecture.
    • Strong communication skills; can explain technical tradeoffs and risk in plain language.
    • Willingness to participate in oncall during close periods, including after-hours and weekends.

    Preferred

    • Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant.
    • Domain experience in Finance, Audit, or regulated industries.
    • Familiarity with the client's technology stack.
