Senior Product Manager – AI/ML for Social Media

Client: Fortune 500 global social network client (Iris AI Partners client)

Drive AI/ML-powered product initiatives across a leading social media platform. Define product strategy for recommendation systems, content understanding, personalization, and generative-AI experiences that reach billions of users.

Key responsibilities

Define the AI/ML product vision and roadmap across ranking, recommendations, content understanding, and GenAI experiences.
Partner closely with ML research, applied science, and engineering to translate ambiguous problems into shippable ML product requirements.
Run rigorous experimentation programs (A/B testing, holdouts) and use quantitative analysis to drive product decisions.
Champion responsible-AI practices, including fairness, safety, and integrity considerations across ML-powered surfaces.
Align cross-functional stakeholders across design, data science, policy, and legal to launch AI features at scale.

Ideal candidate

7+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years shipping ML/AI products at consumer scale.
Strong working knowledge of recommender systems, ranking, NLP, or generative AI.
Proven track record building and launching consumer products with large, active user bases.
Strong data and experimentation fluency (A/B testing, SQL, metric design).
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred

Prior experience at a major social or consumer-internet company.
Background in trust & safety or integrity ML systems.
Familiarity with LLM/GenAI productization and evaluation.
Technical degree (CS, EE, Math) or equivalent hands-on ML experience.
